Karine Ouimet had been working as a representative for outdoor apparel and footwear manufacturer Columbia Sportswear for two years when she was approached by an acquaintance with the idea of selling welcome mats customized with company names. No one had ever heard of such a thing! Pleased with the excellent service and eager to continue showing their support, it was not long before her clients began asking for other products customized with logos. One thing led to another, and soon Ms. Ouimet was hanging out her own shingle, which she named Les Promotions PromKo Inc. Much to the delight of her clients, this allowed her to offer an even broader spectrum of customized products.

This year, PromKo (short for Promotions Karine Ouimet) celebrates its tenth anniversary of personalized clothing and promotional item sales.

PromKo's vast premises, fitted with an impressive showroom, can be found on rue Charbonneau in Vaudreuil-Dorion. In 2006, the team welcomed Gabriel Jacques as head of business development.
